CCEE Graduation Ceremony

Our graduation ceremony is a celebration of years of hard work, late nights and the kind of grit it takes to earn a degree in civil, construction, or environmental engineering. Join us as we honor the newest engineers ready to make their mark on North Carolina and beyond.

Spring 2026 CCEE Graduation Ceremony

Friday, May 8, 2026 • 1:30 p.m. • McKimmon Center, Room 1
The ceremony is anticipated to last approximately 90 minutes.

Mike Munn is the visionary leader of McAdams, serving as president and chief executive officer since 2010. His journey with the company began in 1997 as an entry-level project engineer, steadily rising through the ranks to lead the firm through years of growth and transformation.

In addition to guiding the company’s overall strategy, Mike leads McAdams’ mergers and acquisitions efforts, fostering strong relationships with partner firms and ensuring smooth, thoughtful transitions that support long-term success. His hands-on approach to integration helps maintain company culture while expanding capabilities.

Beyond McAdams, Mike is an active leader in the community, serving in key roles with organizations such as Marbles Kids Museum, NC State University’s Civil Engineering Department, Urban Land Institute, the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, and the Executive Committee of Downtown Raleigh Alliance.Guest Tickets

Spring 2026 Graduation will require tickets for guests.

The CCEE Department Graduation Ceremony will require tickets for entry for family and friends for the May 2026 ceremony. Students will only receive 4 tickets for guests. No extras will be permitted. Plan accordingly. 

University Commencement

In addition to the CCEE Graduation Ceremony, you’re invited to University Commencement at Carter-Finley Stadium on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 9 a.m.

Instructions for the CCEE Graduation Ceremony

The Lobby will be open for family and friends. Doors for the ceremony will open at 9:30 a.m.

The lineup for the procession begins at 1:00 p.m. SHARP.

Order of processional will be: (alphabetically by last name according to the program provided at the ceremony)

  1. Undergraduates
  2. MCE
  3. MENE
  4. M.S.
  5. Ph.D.

NOTE: Be mindful that other graduation ceremonies are taking place before, during, and after the CCEE Department ceremony.

Parking & Directions:  

  • McKimmon Center Parking: Parking in the front lots of the McKimmon Center is free and usually plentiful. There are three smaller parking lots on each side of the center that are reserved for university employees. Visitors are asked to park in designated visitor parking spaces in order to avoid ticketing.

The McKimmon Center is located at 1101 Gorman Street, Raleigh, NC 27606

Diploma Distribution

Final clearance for candidates other than Doctoral is early June. All diplomas will be mailed to the address the student listed as their “Diploma or Home/Mailing address” in their MyPack Portal by early July.

International Students needing a Letter of Invitation:  If you need a letter of invitation for visa purposes, email the GSC (jagrego2@ncsu.edu) with the following information:

  • Your full name
  • Your student ID #
  • Each individual family member’s full name plus date of birth
  • What their relationship is to you
