Embedding AI in Society Symposium

February 18, 2021 - February 19, 2021

A symposium entitled Embedding AI in Society will be held February 18-19, 2021. The event will focus on specific issues of ethics, safety, privacy, and employment under the realm of AI. Our keynote speakers, presenters, and participants will challenge us to think more deeply and holistically about how we should prepare for an AI-infused future. This is part of the R. L. Rabb Science and Society Symposium series at North Carolina State University.

There will be four keynote speakers, including Joanna Bryson (Hertie School), Sylvester Johnson (Virginia Tech), Benjamin Kuipers (Michigan), and Frank Pasquale (Brooklyn Law School). Beyond the keynotes, there will be many breakout sessions organized around the four key themes with a total of about 50 presenters, representing Philosophy, Computer Science, Engineering, History, Urban Planning Studies, Law, English, and other disciplines.

You can register for free. The event will be entirely online. It is organized by AI in Society at NC State University.
