CCEE’s Detlef Knappe featured on cover of Journal AWWA

James Ellen Distinguished Professor Detlef Knappe was featured on the cover of Journal AWWA, a publication from the American Water Works Association. Knappe was highlighted for receiving the A.P. Black Research Award from AWWA and was recognized during the AWWA Annual Conference and Exposition in Toronto in June. The award was established in 1967 in honor of A. P. Black and recognizes outstanding research contributions to water science and water supply rendered over an appreciable period of time. 

Kenneth Mercer, editor-in-chief of Journal AWWA, interviewed Knappe to learn about his entrance into water research and the water community, his career path and research interests, and his perspectives on influences and challenges for research and the water industry as a whole.
