Kim named Jimmy D. Clark Distinguished University Professor

Dr. Youngsoo “Richard” Kim has been named the Jimmy D. Clark Distinguished University Professor in the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at North Carolina State University.

He has been a member of the NC State faculty since 1989.

Kim’s primary research areas include characterization and performance modeling of asphaltic materials and asphalt pavement systems, condition assessment of asphalt pavements, pavement evaluation by accelerated pavement testing, and pavement preservation.
