Extension
Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering (CCEE) extension activities are offered through the Institute of Construction of the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at NC State University (NCSU). Roberto Nuñez, PE is the extension specialist and coordinator of this work.
CCEE extension efforts have focused on continuing previous work and services and maintaining relationships while working in new strategic directions for the CCEE program. CCEE specialists follow a strategic plan incorporating new service offerings to enhance NCSU’s construction industry support. Applied research and technology-transfer services have been added to existing programs in technical and safety training and technical support. The CCEE plan is consistent with a new vision to cover the breadth of civil, construction, and environmental engineering and includes international and bilingual components to match current globalization trends.
