The 16th Annual Paul Zia Distinguished Lecture, “Wilshire Grand Center: Tallest Building West of the Mississippi,” will be presented on Monday, September 18, 2017, at 3 p.m. at the Stewart Theatre located in the Talley Student Union on the campus of North Carolina State University.

This annual lecture honors Professor Emeritus Dr. Paul Zia, former professor and department head of NC State’s Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering, and a structural engineer who is eminent in research, professional society leadership and practice.

Presenters include Ms. Tammy Jow, project director and senior designer of AC Martin; Mr. Todd Whisenhunt, S.E., P.E., vice president of Thornton Tomasetti and an NC State alumnus; and Mr. Brendan Murphy, vice president and operations manager at Turner Construction.
