2020 Zia Lecture Online: DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION OF THE HUDSON YARDS PROJECT
FOUR SIGNATURE TOWERS BUILT OVER A LIVE RAIL YARD IN MIDTOWN MANHATTAN
The presenters, Eli B. Gottlieb, P.E. and Jeffrey A. Callow, P.E., LEED AP both from Thornton Tomasetti will discuss various topics related to the design and construction of the Hudson Yards Project in Midtown Manhattan, focusing on the 10-acre platform over the rail yard and 30 Hudson Yards, a 101-story, 2.6 million-square-foot office tower supported by the platform over the rail yard. Because of restrictions on public gatherings put in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Zia Lecture will be conducted virtually.
