- Brief Bio:
I’m pursing a PhD in Nuclear Engineering. I received my B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. My research is mainly using Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) for simulating thermal-hydraulic problems ranging from small scale in micrometers to very large scale in kilometers. For small scale problem, we are trying to investigate the effect of surface features, like roughness and porosity, on the fluid wetting to dry surfaces. Currently we have built surface tension and wettability features into the SPH code. For large scale, we are working on verification and validation of SPH-based flooding software called NEUTRINO. My work includes building additional computational model, setting up test cases, and comparing the output with analytical or experimental data.
